For those who think that the method of singing Gregorian chant that I am advocating in this blog (i.e., performing chant from the earlist manuscript notations) is too difficult for anyone except for medieval music experts, here is a clip of the volunteer parish choir at San Francisco’s Notre Dame des Victoires performing the introit Spiritus Domini.

We are using the score from Gregor und Taube that shows only the St. Gall neumes above the modified square-notes, but some of my choices were informed by consulting the Laon manuscript (page 130).
